Tissue-specific explant growth
In organotypic cultures, the synthetic peptides Cortagen, Epithalon, Livagen and Vilon stimulated growth of explants from rat brain cortex, subcortical structures, liver and thymus respectively, each acting on the tissue its parent peptide complex came from.
